Bio
The driving force behind Lena Granefelt´s photography is the meeting with people.

Since the early nineties, she has - with great success - devoted her time to documenting ordinary people in ordinary environments. Her constant goal is to imbue her pictures with an air of authenticity and truth, to achieve a feeling of genuineness and warmth.

Lena calls her genre neat documentary, where she includes everything from editorial to advertising. Throughout the years she has held a series of exhibitions and has also released several well-received books. The project Slussen resulted in both an exhibition, a book and, quite anecdotally, her meeting the love of her life right in the middle of Stockholm´s busiest traffic junction!

Amongst other things, Lena has contributed pictures to books such as Zetas trädgård, Bergs konditori, Portrait of a City and Kåt, glad och tacksam.

For five years she also ran the photo magazine Motiv, a forum that gave photographers the opportunity to publish freestanding photographic reportages not subordinate to text.
