Sarah Illenberger loves to combine handicraft with humourous contents. It was at her graphic design studies at St. Martin's College where this love was born and raised, as she was taught to realise projects visually and conceptionally using all kinds of different techniques. For her playful approach handicraft was the perfect match.
She was assigned to do her first photo spread for Berlin based fashion magazin Style and the Family Tunes which promptly won her a prestigious Lead Award and ADC award.
In 2002 she started to work for Neon magazine where she designed and realised concepts to visualize the magazine's stories. Parallely she collaborated with top notch magazines like SZ magazine, Sleek, Stern, Annabelle aswell as numerous advertising clients.
For two years Sarah has been working as a freelance art director and set/prop designer from her studio in Berlin Mitte.
