MARTIN W. MAIER was born in Berlin. After completing his school qualifications for university, he worked initally as a film designer. In 1998 he began his photographer's training at the Best Sabel design center, Berlin. He then went on to study visual communication and media science at the Berlin Univerity of Arts (UdK). Martin W. Maier's work as an experimental photographer is mainly in the editorial field, as well as advertising and the music industry. His main interest is in the visual study of digital photographic media.
