Photographer was the last thing Lina Eriksson was going to be as an adult. I grew up with a photographer in the family, she says, and was deeply jealous of friends whose parents worked normal hours and weren’t traveling all the time. Had Lina not been almost 180 cm tall, she had probably trained to become a dancer.

But it was not to be, something she is grateful for today. The advantage of working as a photographer is that you dont have to retire at forty. After several years at art school, an interlude as a ski instructor, and then some tough but funny years slaving as an assistant, she was suddenly a food photographer with clients such as Arla, Ekoladan and Allt om mat.

I live a pretty good life, which is perhaps not so surprising when I devote my existence to something as nice as food! She finds inspiration in everything around her, such as the texture and color of old planking on a boat. Material is very important when working with still life photography. And oddly enough - the uglier and more worn, the better!
