Özgür Albayrak manages to capture the apparently fleeting moment that makes the perfect photograph.
Through his lense we observe sophisticated, narrative images that convey an extraordinary emotional intensity and intimacy.

Born in 1979 in Darmstadt, Albayrak always knew he wanted to become a photographer. He moved to Berlin at the age of 20, where he worked as a studio assistant. From 2004 to 2006 he studied at the HGB (Academy of Visual Arts) in Leipzig. During this time he was discovered by Mario Lombardo, then art director of SPEX magazine, who has regularly commissioned the photographer ever since.

Özgür Albayrak has been awarded the Red Dot and the Lead Award for his work.
