VITA

Born in 1974. Stefan Schmid studied Film and Media Studies at Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt from 1994 to 1999.

Meanwhile he already worked as a portrait and documentary photographer for local magazines.

After assisting for different photographers such as Marc Trautmann, Frederike Helwig and Chon Choi in Frankfurt, London and Hamburg he started working for commercial and editorial clients in 2002.

After travelling to various western states in the US he finished his own projects „The Burn“ and „Badlands“ in 2008.

His work is authentic and close to the subject.

Stefan is based in Hamburg.
