Born in Trier/Germany, Bernd moved, after finishing school, to Hamburg and studied photography at the famous Academy for Photography (APH). After graduating, he then worked as a photo-assistant in Hamburg and all over the world. Parallel, he started working for Fritz Brinckmann (Hamburg) and developed and produced new TV Shows with him.

Starting his own business in Hamburg in the late nineties, Bernd worked for commercial clients (agencies/magazines/music industry) as well as organizing several single- and group-exhibitions with other young photographers. His mix of commercial work and the constant search for conceptional ideas helped him a lot when the film industry knocked on his door…

Since 2001, Bernd is also directing music videos and commercials for international clients all over the world. In 2002, he teamed up with Jeffrey Lisk (www.liskundpossardt.com), who he met while working for Fritz Brinckmann. Working as a team, they guarantee an exciting exchange of ideas and like to explore new approaches, both visually and in terms of content. Storytelling, excellent casting, subtle humor and great images characterize their work.

Bernd is currently living in Hamburg.
