Alex loves stories. The son of Afghan-Czech doctors was inspired early in his life by the magic of gangster movies and decided to become a filmmaker. He started working at film productions in Munich and L.A. and subsequently enrolled at the Filmacademy Baden-Württemberg, Germany, to study directing. In 2009, Alex deepened his work with actors at the renowned Drama Centre/Central Saint Martin’s College in London. His first commercial became an instant success, winning him the First Steps Commercial Award, as well as an award at the Art Directors Club. His shorts were featured nationally and internationally at the Saatchi & Saatchi New German Directors Showcase, the New York International Film Festival and the Los Angeles International Film Festival. VICIOUS DOGS is his first feature film. A thriller made in cooperation with the major German TV station Pro7/Sat 1 and the Oscar-winning production company „Wiedemann & Berg“.
