After finishing high school, Edward Hopper (1882-1967) trained as an illustrator at the New York School of Illustrating and then went on to study at New York School of Art. To round off his skills as an advertising artist and illustrator he visited Europe and in particular Paris (1906-1910), where he completed around 30 works.
