Luca Schenardi deals with the interplay of the materialistically affected actions of people and the decline of nature, especially bird life, in his images.
He worked almost solely on his project ‘but there is no shortage of birdhouses’ between 2009 and 2012. The work is centred on humans and their schizophrenic relationship to nature, especially to one of the culturally most influential species: birds.
