featured by Patrick Salonen : Digital artist PATRICK SALONEN and photographer Michel Jaussi present the ‘New Swiss’ series (with drones not AI) on GoSee

These motifs were created with tongue admittedly in cheek as part of the personal project by the name of ‘New Swiss’, which digital artist Patrick Salonen had the pleasure of realizing together with photographer Michel Jaussi. The symbols of various countries were simply placed into Swiss cities or landscapes.

This project was realized entirely using a drone (completely without the use of AI images) and a 100 MP camera as well as the 3D modeling software Maxon Cinema4D and the Chaos Corona render engine, plus of course a little Adobe Photoshop.

These motifs were on display for the first time in the exhibition photoSCHWEIZ 24 in Zurich this January, 2024.

featured by Patrick Salonen : PATRICK SALONEN : Post production and CGI for aerial & image shots of WALO BERTSCHINGER AG

For WALO BERTSCHINGER AG, among the industry leaders in the Swiss construction business with more than 2000 employees, PATRICK SALONEN had the pleasure of post-producing the image photos. The project was photographed in and around Switzerland by MICHEL JAUSSI, known as a specialist for high-quality aerial photography.

Post production included defining a color look, composing several image parts, retouch work of all kinds but also, for example, augmenting an image with a passenger plane using CGI, a service Patrick has been offering in-house for many years.

Responsible for realizing the campaign from the agency were CD Peter Strauss and AD Sergej Chursin (AB: Nathalie Hergenhan, Tanja Bornmann – from BO, Junior AB: Simone Kliesch).

With this campaign, DEUTSCHE BAHN AG would like to demonstrate that using railway services is climate friendly in so many regards. The motifs are on display at several railway stations as well as on the website of Deutsche Bahn. The main motif was also hung in an oversized format in close proximity to the headquarters of Deutsche Bahn AG on Berlin’s Potsdamer Platz.
