Any Ever - the complex universe of American artists in Ryan Trecartin and Lizzie Fitch on show in Paris

Any Ever – is the title of the first large show by Americans Ryan Trecartin and Lizzie Fitch at the Parisian Musée d’Art Moderne.

For about five years, the duo has been confronting the viewers with consumer culture and the war of the generations by means of their videos, installations and sculpture.

Ryan Trecartin and Lizzie Fitch work together, yet their roles are quite flexible in a very modern way. Ryan is the author, director and editor of the videos while Lizzie takes care of production. The installations on the other hand are created in collaboration.

To quote the press release, ‘Any Ever is an expanding universe, one you can enter only by consenting to reconsider the codes of the real world and the rules of language’.

Lizzie Fitch and Ryan Trecartin were born in 1981, in Indiana and Texas respectively. Both studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and now live and work in Los Angeles.
