BerlinART IN BETWEEN - an exhibition in Munich

Florian Schönfelder curated the exhibition BerlinART IN BETWEEN, which looks at a new approach to temporary uses of empty buildings, in collaboration with the renowned Euroboden GmbH architecture company. The debut exhibition features work by Berlin based artists Markus Gley and Iman Rezai, who are both on their way to establish themselves on the global art market. The venue is a building in Munich, which is fittingly in a state between use, demolition and reconstruction.

In Between – the artists Markus Gley (*Greifswald, 1980) and Iman Rezai (*Shiraz, 1981) are not dealing with the beginning and not with the end. They shared a tiny studio during their studies at the Academy of the Arts in Berlin, but today their art requires a lot more space. The location in Munich / Schwabing that was provided by Euroboden offers the opportunity to exhibit large-scale works. The visitors are transported to the lower part of the building in a goods lift and once there, can admire the artist’s bright colours on objects and canvases in several rooms.
