GoSee Tip : Blow up Gallery presents Take me by Cornelie Tollens

Dutch photographer Cornelie Tollens delivers portraits in especially large format close-ups, tempting bodies, decaying flowers, or intimate, erotic picture – she places equal importance on all of these.

Her pictures present attractive, young women, sometimes men, in an erotic light. These appear inspired by Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin and David LaChapelle, however she adds her own quality to each image she creates, clearly defining it as her own. She has moved on from the status of pure provocation, on the contrary, she simultaneously plays with both her protagonists and the viewer.

We first came across her voyeuristic, yet exhibitionistic images when we decided to place them in BOOKLET magazine. And we already knew then – this woman has a signature style, all be it somewhat loose, but all the same, a signature style. GoSee is pleased to present a second impression of the photographer we like to see as a cosmopolitan safari hunter – on the prowl for wild animals caught in sensual situations.
