Bugdahn und Kaimer Gallery, Düsseldorf : Somewhere On Time II - melancholic portraits by Canadian photographer Gabriel Jones

The Düsseldorf-based gallery presents "Somewhere On Time II", its second show of Canadian photographer Gabriel Jones’s (*1973) work. The New York-based photographer developed his portrait, landscape, architecture and social colour photography in urban and landscape environments, to encompass various protagonists.

Gabriel completes the natural lighting he finds by adding artificial lighting. This explains the absence of shadows and fulfils the attention to detail in his work.

The young protagonists, placed in front of backgrounds of walls, houses, plants and landscapes, come across as actors in a film still.
