Museum voor Moderne Kunst Arnhem : REBELLE. Art and Feminism 1969-2009

The Museum voor Moderne Kunst Arnhem presents Art and Feminism 1969-2009, until the end of August. The works on show range from handmade posters to cyber art. Works from forty years worth of artists that were inspired by feminism, and contributed to the freeing of women in our society then, now and for future generations to come.

Art and feminism is a well known hot topic, however, everyone is in agreement about one thing: feminism permanently changed the artistic landscape. From hairy armpits, to Italian porno queens captured for eternity as a trusted church sculpture might be, the variety of takes on and inspiration from this subject are impressively dazzling .
