Paula Parrish at Visionairs Gallery Paris : unusual beauties and portraits

Paula Parrish has stripped down the classic image of the photographer and experiments with her imagery by colouring and mounting it, editing it to satisfy her various sources of inspiration and thriving imagination. She describes her style as innocent and curious. From 7 September onwards, the Visionairs Gallery Paris will show just how she does so.

The New York-based artist initially created short films and documentaries in places such as Cambodia, Thailand and Tokyo, she travelled, filmed and produced, took part in film festivals in New York, Chicago and Hollywood.

Her career in commercial photography began in 2005. Her eyes are open to anything that is visionary, she continuously records everything in her surroundings that inspires her and feeds into her creativity.

A successful fashion and commercial photographer, her work also crosses over into fine art. She creates interesting connections by taking elements and imagery from one area and placing it another.
