Stephen Wirtz Gallery, San Francisco kicks off the autumn season with group exhibition IDYLL

Idyll – is a series of work by 10 photographers, made up of colourful landscape photographs that vaguely remind us of paintings.

However, appearances can be deceiving – and the 2010 idyll juxtaposes classic images from all corners of the globe with inhabited wooden shacks, motorway viewpoints and bizarre film sets.

Work is on display by Mike Brodie, Jim Goldberg, Todd Hido, Justine Kurland, Melanie Pullen, Doug Rickard, Paul Schiek, Alec Soth, Larry Sultan and Catherine Wagner.

GoSee presents a preview of the idyll.
