Roast beef, frogs and éclairs. GoSee London at the preview of The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk at Barbican London

GoSee London attended the exclusive press preview of the Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk at Barbican Gallery London. Fashion’s French enfant terrible himself was there and gave a talk in the morning. The self-professed frog welcomed his audience of ‘roast beef’, passionately recalling his memories of London’s infamous club scene of the late ‘70s. A time that truly inspired him and his collections. Having toured the world extensively, the critically acclaimed show, which Gaultier said was like a ‘caravan’ of creatives with a burgeoning ‘gypsy’ family of collaborators he speaks so fondly of, have finally made it to London.

Jean Paul Gaultier says that he would liked to have lived in London, as the scene was so refreshingly different from that of the notoriously stuffy fashion world in Paris. When London was lapping up his work, Paris stylish aesthetics originally ‘didn’t give a shit’. Special London additions to the show include an impressive union jack Mohican crafted from real human hair by Odile Gilbert, founder of the Atelier 68 in Paris. A whole section is dedicated to Gaultier’s love affair with the home of punk, charting his eclectic inspirations from sidewalk to catwalk, from goths to dandies, from Amy Winehouse to David Bowie, to Erin ...

German music stars! Christoph VOY portrays Judith Holofernes for SZ magazine, MUSIKEXPRESS and INTRO, material for DAS WETTER and RED BULLETIN, Miss Platnum for INTRO plus the album cover of A PONY CALLED OLGA

Christoph VOY snapped singer Judith Holofernes for SZ magazine, MUSIKEXPRESS mag and INTRO magazine. A successful collaboration – so successful in fact that FOUR MUSIC/SONY bought and used the images from the shoot as promotional pictures for the singer’s new album ‘Ein leichtes Schwert’.

Christoph portayed German rapper Materia for the cover story of DAS WETTER magazine in a fish restaurant in Berlin Kreuzberg. Both of them then moved on to the Pan Am lounge for RED BULLETIN magazine.

The advertising slogan for Miss Platnum’s current album is ‘Miss Platnum is dead’. Yet she looked pretty alive to us during the shoot for INTRO magazine with Christoph Voy.

And coming up: the launch of the new A PONY CALLED OLGA album. On this occasion a black miniature horse took a trip down the cemetery. The little horse seemed to enjoy the grass and Christoph Voy managed to capture great artwork for the band. A win-win ...
