LULU* : refresh for GoSee, illustrations for HUMANGLOBALER ZUFALL mag, ACHTUNG MODE and BAHN mag
Berlin-based illustrator LULU* is responsible for GoSee’s new look. All three sites, German, English and French, present a visual unity in a minimalist version of the look, which carries Lulu*’s unmistakeable signature style. Her illustrations were interpreted by AD and sirup° director Alexander Meyer-Roxlau.
In addition to this, Lulu* illustrated two issues of the reportage magazine HUMANGLOBALER ZUFALL. The magazine, published by Axel Springer, contains stories of people who have been brought together by coincidence. Photo series complete the reports. Dennis Buchmann is in charge of the contents and realization, his concept won the SCOOP! Idea competition in 2007 at the Axel Springer Academy.
Dennis noticed that one always happens to chance upon the same people in buses and hotels. With this idea in mind, he suggested a magazine based on the worldwide networking of people and their relationships around the world. The total of four issues were sponsored by the Axel Springer Acaadey, with a total of 500,000 Euro.
Photographer Felix LAMMERS c/o KLEIN PHOTOGRAPHEN and make-up artist Yasmin Heinz produced a photo series for a beauty magazine, which Lulu* added some finishing touches to. In addition to this, she also illustrated portraits for ACHTUNG MODE magazine. We have attached a variety of them.
This was followed by illustrations for BAHN MAGAZINE and their monthly book tip. The book of choice was Gail Tsukiyama’s Japanese novel “The Street of a Thousands Petals”. Further new work can be viewed on her new website from mid February onwards – and of course here with us.
