Anja Wiroth Agency : UPdate & Party on 24 April & Artists Brunch on 25 April, Mickey Rourke for PATTERN MAG, WORKBOOK, ELLE, GLAMOUR, NEON

At this year’s UPdate in Berlin, the ANJA WIROTH AGENCY will both be present as an exhibitor, as well as the official sponsor of the “Wir Rocken” party at Kino International (party guest list: anja@anjawiroth.com).

The following day, on 25 April, the agency will be hosting an AW Artists Brunch at the renowned Bonfini Restaurant. The agency’s stars including Jörgen Brennicke from Sweden, Bernhard Wolff from Vienna, Stefano Morini from Barcelona, Marc Beaussart from London, Naja Conrad Hansen from Copenhagen and Dirk Velimsky, will also be present. They will be joined by their Berlin-based buddies such as Olaf Heine, Norman Konrad, Murat Aslan, Marcus Albert, Tan Kadam, Henrike Stahl, Ina Schoof, Cem Guenes and Klas Förster, who will also be available for an informal chat.

If you are interested, then please RSVP to ensure that there are enough canapés and champagne to go round. However, spontaneous visitors are also welcome. Bonfini is located in the heart of Berlin Mitte, on Memhard Straße 3 (25.04.09, 11am until 4pm). Send your confirmations to Barbi@anjawiroth.com.

“The Wrestler” rehabilitated actor Mickey Rourke and brought him back into the limelight. One of the most gorgeous covers of Mr. “Harry Angel” was produced by Chuck ANDERSON for RELEVANT MAGAZINE, alongside “The Recovery of Mickey Rourke” cover story. There are countless new shots waiting for your eyes only on Chuck’s NOPATTERN website. www.nopatter.com

Jörgen BRENNICKE took part in the Sebastian International “new to the eye” competition. The competition’s results can still be viewed until 17 April at an exhibition held at the artMbassy Berlin, Anna-Louisa-Karsch-Str.7, Berlin-Mitte. Models Emily McWilliams and Petter W were groomed by hairstylist Tony Lindström and make-up artist Filippa Smedhagen Sund.

Swedish edition GLAMOUR has just celebrated its third birthday. Jörgen was asked to photograph three top Swedish ladies: top model Elska Hosk alongside singer/songstress Nina Persson, renowned front woman of "The Cardigans" and "A Camp", as well as ex-top model Emma Sjöberg/Wiklund (you may recognise her from George Michael’s “Too Funky” video). The team comprised make-up artist André Cueto Saavedro and stylist Lina Aastrup.

“And what do you earn?” was a question posed for the new issue of NEON. Photographer Norman KONRAD captured the twenty-somethings that haven’t felt the credit crunch to date.

Marcus ALBERT photographed fashion “fit for princes” by young designer Miriam Schaaf, who is not just interested in frilly dresses fit for princesses. Models Karl and Vincent looked the part in a shoot at the Bang Bang Club. His portfolio was recently presented at the photo box during the Berlin Press Days and received enviable feedback, the styling and make-up arts were perfected by Sophia Hoffmann.

The Berlin rapper feud has ended. By late March, Bushido and Fler called it a day. It has even been noted on Wikipedia. This momentous moment in history was captured by Murat ASLAN… for our children’s history books of course.

Italian illustrator LORENZO PETRANTONI created the cover of the “Illust” workbook. Adverting talents and design creatives packed in a book with Lorenzo’s cover – we love it!

Cem GUENES photographed a bridal fashion editorial for the January issue of ELLE. The model is Laura Nachtigall c/o SEEDS, her make-up was applied by Jazz c/o BASICS, her styling was carried out by REMUS Opris c/o BLOSSOM MANAGEMENT.

Marc BEAUSSART photographed motifs for BULLDOG – environmentally-friendly products for men. The photos were published in FABULOUS MAG, for whom Marc produced both the cover story and cover.

The latest issue of BLANK MAGAZINE saw Bernhard WOLFF photograph a poignant series. The story, titled “Blind and Beautiful” depicts blind teenagers and their thoughts on fashion trends and how they deal with daily challenges.

Ina SCHOOF shot some portraits of attractive ladies, glowing, charming of course and – at long last, grown up. The divine models were Christine Richter, Elska Bartek and Michaela Wölker.

The Nucleus Gallery presents GRAFUCK, an exhibition and book launch from 11 until 20 April. Three pictures by NAJA CONRAD HANSEN are currently on their way to LA. A must for everyone in the area! Illustrator Naja also contributed to the new FREISTIL, the black issue.
