Chanel Haute Couture Show SS 2009 : Karl Lagerfeld presents Origami looks for the summer

This year’s Haute Couture shows in Paris saw designer Karl Lagerfeld stick two gloved fingers up at the general discord and present a romantic, yet modern collection, which was kept all in white. The key of the show were paper headdress pieces, created in Origami style by Tokyo milliner Kamo. “Paper is my favourite material. I see it as the starting point of all creativity”, said Karl Lagerfeld.

As usual, a whole constellation of stars shot to Paris to view Karl’s latest creations, and we are happy to present a selection of them here at GoSee. For example Keira Knightley and Anna Mouglalis, who wore pieces from the Paris-Moscou collection, as well as BOOKLET cover girl Elodie Bouchez, dressed in a “wild” look from the Chanel Paris-Londres collection.

Actress Laura Smet and her enchanting colleague, DJane and IT girl Joana Preiss presented themselves in exclusive items from the RWT A/W 08/09 collection and James Bond actress Olga Kurylenko dressed up in a skirt and neck piece from the current RWT S/S 2009 collection.

Rapper Kanye West, producer Jan Kounen and singer Marianne Faithful, also didn’t want to miss out on the event and were, as always, a sight for sore eyes.
