Corbis : "Create Berlin goes London“ exhibition

To mark the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Wall, an exhibition by top-class creative teams will be staged in London from the September 18 - 21. 70 agencies were asked to play with the brief of “20 years creative city Berlin”. Out of the 70, 20 made their way into the exhibition's final selection “Create Berlin goes London”. Among the 20 teams is design agency Magma Brand Design from Karlsruhe, who realized the project “Off limits” in cooperation with Berlin-based design agency Xplicit, who used pictures from Corbis.

The core of the idea was a wall, 3.5 metres long, which can be walked along from the inside. On the outside, black & white images of borders, reflecting the title “Off limits”, can be viewed. The photos represent the pictures, which are to be set up along the former course of the wall, commemorating the anniversary. Text will be projected inside the darkened room. 

All the pictures which can be seen on the walls derive from the extensive Corbis archive – impressive photographs of border fences, walls and refugees. The photographs were supplied to the project free of charge, for the special occasion,.
