GoSee travel tip : Hyères 2011. The fashion and photo festival's exhibition. Pack your bags for the South of France!

Missed the Hyères Festival for fashion and photography? What a pity indeed – but there is still hope. Once the winners have been decided upon and the jury around president Raf Simons packed up their tents, the Villa Noailles won’t cease to be a hotspot for activity for quite some time.

All the things that enjoyed lots of buzz during the last weekend of April will be exhibited until the 29th of May at the location in Southern France: unique collections and exceptional photography works.

Raf Simons and Christopher Kane, as well as designers at Proenza Schouler and Cathy Horyn all agreed. Léa Peckre won with avant-garde fashion collection inspired by a cemetery. Céline Méteil from France landed the audience award with clothes, which are constructed like an envelope, foldable!

The Photography Prize went to Katharina Elvén from Sweden with her geometric works.

We are showcasing some extracts which prove that a trip down to the exhibition in the South of France is definitely worth it - maybe in combination with an early summer voyage?
