Kelly Kellerhoff : LAURA GLIESCHE is ROOKIE '06

On June 10th it was time for the jury of twenty to announce the ROOKIE '06. And the winner was LAURA GLIESCHE. Her winning work convinced because of its technically advanced and sensible realization - and Laura because of her personality as well. The upcoming talents, all of whom graduates from the photographic part of the Berlin Lette Club, were for two days given a closer look by the professional jury. They did not only have to prove their photographic talent, but also needed to convince the jury about their ability to use it in a commercially viable way. This was the reason why art buyers and experts from a number of different agencies and publishing houses were part of the jury. With the ROOKIE '06 price, which was initiated by Kelly and is supervised by Nadja Auermann, attention is to be drawn to the next generation of photographers. Laura was able to qualify for a very unique sponsorship : as ROOKIE '06 she will for one year receive special attention from all the members of the jury, as in receiving bookings and help for her career development. As of now Laura will be represented by Kelly. And even those who did not win had the chance to get a lot of useful contacts and experiences for their upcoming career.
