Kelly Kellerhoff : ROOKIE 06

Young talented photographers sometimes have a hard time establishing themselves in the commercial market. The Berlin image agent tried to change that. With the sponsorship of Nadia Auermann he founded the junior photography price ROOKIE '06 in the Lette Foundation in Berlin. With the professional eye of the jury the best graduate of the Lette Foundation was selected. The jury is made up of professionals and art buyers from the agencies Aimaq Rapp Stolle, BBDO, GREY, Ogilvy Duesseldorf, Dorland, Flaskamp, KNSK, Springer + Jacoby, Scholz & Friends, SELECT, Urbitecten and Zum goldenen Hirschen. The PR work is done by Heesch & Hogerzeil who already successfully managed the public relations for ADC. Also in the jury are powerful people from the magazines MAX and MAXIM as well as VIVAmodels, GLOSS Hamburg and Heiner Hauck Portfolios. What is unique at the *ROOKIE* awards is the absence of a money or physical price. Instead the jury commit themselves to support the young photographers in any way possible meaning the agencies are to mediate jobs, GLOSS will help with operations, VIVAmodels will supply free models and Heiner Hauck will use his expertise with the portfolios.
