Plat(t)form 08, Schweiz : Portfolio-Viewing

The last weekend in January marks the annual arrival of the Plat(t)form 08 at the Fotomuseum Winterthur, it is the second curated international portfolio viewing for young European photographers. This year, another 42 photographers are invited to present their work and dossier, for two hours each, to the public and a team of experts.

They were nominated and then selected from around 100 photographers. 6 photographers will always show their work at a time. Plat(t)form 08 is aimed at professionals such as curators, gallerists, publishers, editors and photographers. However, it also provides curious visitors with the great opportunity of experiencing work by young photographers and artists, as well as getting to meet them in person.

The experts that will be present are: Valérie Fougeirol, director of ParisPhoto, Paris; Rosa Olivares, publisher of Exit Magazine, Madrid; Olivier Richon, artist and Dean at the Royal College of Art, London; Alain Servais, collector, Brüssel; Thomas Seelig, Curator of Fotomuseum Winterthur, as well as Urs Stahel, Director of Fotomuseum Winterthur.
