Scheidegger & Spiess : Sites & Signs - the cutting point of architecture and nature, with René Burris 'Brasilia' retracing Oscar Niemeyer's footsteps and guest appearance at Bücherbogen Berlin

Until the 4th of June 2011, Berlin residents and visitors will have the opportunity to get to know four Swiss publishers (Scheidegger & Spiess, Benteli Verlag, Lars Müller Publishers and Niggli Verlag) within the inspiring atmosphere of the Bücherbogen book shop at Savignyplatz and discuss the topic of books in depth.

Scheidegger & Spiess present an elaborate showcase of Georg Aernis’ (*1959) subtly colourful photographs with the ‘Sites & Signs’ monograph. The artist is known for his photo series dealing with big cities and landscapes. Be it Paris, Tokyo or Mumbai, a glacier in the Alps or zoological enclosures: he is interested in the signs that signify the ever ongoing transformation of these living spaces.
