Photographer Olaf Heine initiated a photography project, which well be presented in public for the first time, accurately timed to coincide with the World Cup. Over the course of the last six months, he travelled all over Germany, his large-format camera to hand so as to photograph German and international football stars.

The Hiltawsky Gallery, Berlin, will exhibit 24 large format portraits from 24 June to 11 July 2010. The exhibition includes illustrious athletes such as Michael Ballack, Thierry Henry, Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Mario Gomez and many more.

The private view will take place on Thursday, 24 June 2010, starting at 7pm (Tucholskystrasse 41, 10117 Berlin). All pictures, as well as a signed football will be sold in a charity auction for the benefit of the AMANDLA KU LUTSHA trust.

8.6% of all children in South Africa are orphans. The Amandla Ku Lutsha trust builds institutions with the aim of improving the orphans' living conditions by offering educational sports and football programmes.
