Unit F / GoSee EDITORIAL AWARD 2010 : now accepting online entries for the Fashion Series, Fashion Portrait & Fashion Still Life categories

Fashion and trends can be created in various different ways, but they are mainly captured with fashion photography. The EDITORIAL AWARD in 2010 focuses on this and has thus divided the award into three categories: FASHION, PORTRAIT and STILL LIFE.

Photographers, stylists and art directors can now enter unpublished editorials that are marked by outstanding creative and photographic quality (idea, technical realisation, styling, hairstyling, make-up etc).

For the first time the EDITORIAL AWARD has teamed up with GoSee NEWS SERVICES to expand their award and cover places outside Austrian-speaking countries. “GoSee is pleased to present the most creative realisations in the Unit F PROFILE to our visitors, which total just under 700,000 per month” says jury member Frank Schmitz / GoSee. “As a B to B service, GoSee is the source for high-end photography – making it the ideal platform to promote oneself and one’s portfolio to the creative industry – and on a worldwide scale too.”

The series can be entered as JPGs (height: 620 Pixel, 72 dpi, 8-10 photos) via EMAIL. The closing date is 26 May 2010. The winners will be presented at the AFA–Austria Fashion Awards Night.

From 7 until 17 June 2010, the Festival for Fashion & Photography, initiated and organised by Unit F, will enter its fifth round and celebrated the fashion office’s 10th anniversary.

The Austrian and international fashion scene will present itself for 10 days in Vienna. Over 30 events, fashion shows, exhibitions and performances will take place on the subject of fashion photography.

ELFIE SEMOTAN shot the image campaign to mark the 10th anniversary in a nude, fresh young style. The team comprised Art Director Albert Handler, moodley brand identity, hair and make-up artist Karoline Strobl and stylist Christoph Pirnbacher. Patrick Kafka, the shooting star amongst Austria’s male models and Ilvie Wittek are the faces of the campaign
