Westlicht.Schauplatz für Fotografie in Vienna presents young photography talents in between art and reality

What is going on in Austria at the moment? When it comes to young photography, Westlicht.Schauplatz für Fotografie can currently provide an illustrated answer.

The 'Blickwechsel – Österreichische Fotografie Heute' (Shifiting Focus – Austrian Photography Today’) exhibition in Vienna presents Austrian artists showing what moves them and how they interpret it.

In addition to renowned greats such as Erwin Wurm, Martin Walder and Helmut and Johanna Kandl, the majority of the exhibits comprises work by young talents.

These are between fine art, installation and photography and play with reality, pain, action performance and femininity.

Elsy Lahner and artist Eva Schlegel curated the exhibition. They have provided an unusual and very art focused insight of Austrian photography.

One piece by each of the participating photographers will be up for sale in the Westlicht Foto Auction.

Artists include: Anatoliy Babiychuk, Selina de Beauclair, Hubert Blanz, Mark Glassner, Dorothee Golz, Markus Guschelbauer, Helmut and Johanna Kandl, Roberta Lima, Michail Michailov, Rita Nowak, Judith Pichlmüller, Agnes Prammer, Nikolaus Schletterer, Nina Rike Springer, Kamen Stoyanov, Martin Walde, Julia Willms, Andrea Witzmann and Erwin Wurm.
