'Fluid loss' - Stephanie Franzius A/W 2011/12 Collection focuses on the essential luxury of being

Flowing fabrics made of silk tenderly drape themselves around the body and reverberating in gentle ripples. The collections' delicate elements are interrupted through the juxtaposition of heavy wool fabrics, such as the drape jacket and capes.

In her 'Fluid Loss' collection, designer Stephanie Franzius discusses transition on the one hand and value on the other. The value of the eternal, the primary and universal.

The winter collection's name has its origin in the world's most precious commodity; water. This theme informs the collection’s inspiration and concern for an ever-changing environment.

It has been a long time coming and it is Stephanie's belief that fashion should change its pace and direction, making sure to find new ways off the beaten treak.

One of the novelties for example are fabrics made from milk, which - completely made in Germany – are most likely to become high quality classics, holding up their status for longer than just one season. This however is nothing unusual for a Franzius-collection.

You can find the designer at the L40 showroom at Berlin Fashion Week at the Rosenthaler Platz. The second COLLECT SHOWROOM aims to draw attention to the Berlin fashion design scene through a collaborative appearance. Collect offers a prestigious cross section of Berlin labels, from the newcomer to established designers.
