kid's wear Department Springtime longing - with Bellerose Kids from Belgium
Kid's Wear Department heralds the spring with Bellerose Kids. The label from Belgium kicked things off in 1989 by launching a menswear collection. It took almost ten years until the first women’s wear collection came into being and last but not least, the year 2001 gave birth to the kid’s wear collection.
Bellerose took a step back in time to its poignant and deeply embedded roots for the current spring/summer 2011 collection.
Children enjoy life to the fullest, no thoughts are wasted on the day after tomorrow – this season, preferably in baggy pants with a touch of 'preppy': girls embody a cheeky allure, while boys display a rebellious attitude, which is – of course – accompanied by many bruised knees.
On top of that, the girls spin around in a-line dresses with waist belts, while the boys linger casually, hands dug deep into Bermuda short pockets, looking good with waistcoats covering parts of plaid lumberjack shirts.
The upcoming season will also be rather colourful: Ocean Blue, Mauve, Poppy Red, Porcelain, Candy Colour, Turquoise, Farina Yellow, Mint Green, Lilac and Grey. Everything is more voluminous and one can also find sailor and flower prints.
The collection is completed by Perfecto jackets, just like the wild ones used to wear, that is, made from cotton this time and combined with neckerchiefs in pink retro-prints, which conjure up 1950s nostalgia.
We have attached the motifs from the new collection, as photographed by GoSee member ACHIM LIPPOTH.
