CREDITS / DETAILS

Client: H&M
Soccer star : David Beckham
H&M: Steve Lubomski, Marketing Director North America

David's debut collection 'Bodywear for H&M' consists of – (surprise, surprise) – a range of underwear designs: the briefs, boxer shorts, vests, t-shirts, pyjama trousers and long pants are available in all 1,800 H&M stores worldwide as well as online.

The focus of the collection, which was created by Beckham's in-house team exclusively for H&M, lies on perfect fit, function, wearing comfort and design. This is what the spot is supposed to communicate to us here on GoSee, as well as the 800 million viewers of the Super-Bowl.

The spot for the Super Bowl advertising break, which will see the NY Giants and the NE Patrios going head-to-head, is a first for H&M. Airing the commercial cost H&M a whopping 3.5 million Dollars – that is how much a 30 second advertising slot during the mega sport event costs.

The spot features the song 'Don't let me be misunderstood' by The Animals. What is that supposed to tell us? We haven't got the foggiest.
