Avatar - launch with PANASONIC : Gero von Braunmühl realises the commercial spot for the world's first full-HD 3D plasma TV for Neue Sentimental Film, Berlin

The new PANASONIC commercial spot didn’t just require technical know-how, but also plenty of charm and conviction. The hard work paid off. Neue Sentimental Berlin, director Regisseur Gero von Braunmühl and executive producer Alexander Stigler realised the international launch campaign for the world’s first full-HD 3D plasma TV, by Panasonic Europe.

GoSee caught up with the wonderful director in between VCC Post Production’s pool party and Rosé Beach at the advertising film festival in Cannes. We were intrigued to discover that the commercial, which presents an extract from the AVATAR blockbuster, was realised in close collaboration with FOX Studios Hollywood and director James Cameron. The American filmmaker in Hollywood collected the spot himself.

With Frank Griebe, an equally internationally experienced cameraman, was added to the crew. His cinematic filming highlights include ‘Run Lola Run’ and ‘Perfume’ by Tom Tykwer. We found out that Acht Frankfurt post production spent months perfecting the city background. Ralf Drechsler, Heiko Leitsch and Gunter Attach were in charge of the visual effects.

Atletico International, Berlin, with CEO Beratung Carsten Riechert, commissioned the spot. The spot will be used in several European countries, as well as Latin America. We are also pleased to be able to present the spot here on GoSee.

Alexander Stigler was made CEO of Neue Sentimental Film’s central Berlin office for advertising film production. His Avatar spot for Panasonic is the worldwide TV campaign for the new 3D TV model.

Gero also recently produced the Reem B Robot DC commercial; but don’t be taken in, the robot isn’t a 3D figure – it’s a real robot. The spot promotes a research project, financed by one of the richest dynasties in the Middle East. GoSee is very excited to present this spot, as well as two additional commercials by Gero von Braunmühl.
