Aus ihrer Bio erfahren wir : "Chen Man demonstrated her artistic talent, drawing a mouse when she was only two. Her mother ensured her development, sending her to a drawing class and to a high school specialising in art. She then attended the Central Academy of Fine Arts, where she studied graphic design. When only 23 and still a student, her self-styled photographs were published on the covers of China's Vision Magazine, bringing her immediate prominence. Handling all her post-production work herself, she makes extensive use of digital tools including Photoshop and 3D Max. In addition to cover photographs for Vision Magazine over a number of years, she has also contributed to Chinese features in Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and Esquire."

Chen MAN ist verheiratet mit dem US-Amerikaner Raphael Ming Cooper, Mitbegründer der Society Skateboards, hat zwei Kinder und wird vertreten über GoSee Member PATRICIA McMAHON.

About ROGUE WAVE PROJECTS. In 2001, L.A. Louver initiated its Rogue Wave program, examining artists living and working in Los Angeles. Curated by Founding Director Peter Goulds and Chief Preparator Christopher Pate, the ambitious group exhibition Rogue Wave '01 brought the works of 13 diverse emerging and mid-career artists into the gallery, reflecting a spectrum of studio activities that identify Southern California as one of the most exciting contemporary art scenes in the world.

The gallery organized additional Rogue Wave shows in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2013. Inspired by the enthusiasm for these group exhibitions, L.A. Louver launched Rogue Wave Projects as a platform of engagement with local contemporary artists, resulting in solo projects with Eduardo Sarabia (2009), Olga Koumoundouros (2010) and Matt Wedel (2010). At the start of 2012, we undertook our first international Rogue Wave Projects exhibition – Supermassive, by the Brisbane, Australia-based new media artist Grant Stevens
