Shades of Cashmere - the new IRIS VON ARNIM collection captured by Elisabeth TOLL
Elisabeth TOLL c/o NERGER M&O stands out from the crowd thanks to her great eye for fashion. Furthermore, the Paris-based photographer can equally express her fashion foible through flowing fabrics and cunning cuts in moving image. She recently skilfully captured the new collection by the grand dame of cashmere, IRIS VON ARNIM.
For 30 years, the label has had a reputation for luxurious luxury cashmere made in Germany. Iris von Arnim is one of the few brands today whose founding designer still works for the label and is run independently.
‘Don’t follow the crowds – do your own thing’ – is the successful motto of the family business, whose tight knit team works on the collections season for season.
Cashmere was already produced in the 3rd century BC as an exceptional luxury item for kings. Today the best quality cashmere stems from the Asian highlands. Cashmere hair, or the down of goats’ fur grows all over their bodies, not just on their underbellies.
