Spring / Summer 2012 image film and look book for Palmer Harding shirts, London
The palmer//harding label invited director Malcom Pate and Fashion Director Anders Sølvsten Thomsen from Love magazine to join them in the studio so they could take good care of the label's first S/S collection. To make sure that nothing would be left to chance, they spiced up the production by booking Vogue cover model Egle Jezepcikaite and the smart male equivalent, Matt Bell.
Director Malcolm on the look of the spot: "Employing the Victorian “Pepper’s Ghost“ effect to create ephemeral projections in-camera without the use of any digital special effects palmer//harding’s video explores the reflection of a young couple lost in the ebb and flow of the layers and memories of one another." Quite romantic.
palmer//harding is a designer label for men and women, only recently founded by Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding focusing on the shirt – the design item of choice. The shirt collection is inspired by photographer Ingar Krauss and the 1930s – melancholia meets modern optimism.
Before the official label launch at S/S 12 London Fashion Week, the duo already received a nomination for the ANDAM Award 2011 in Paris.
The look book showcased here on GoSee features Joe Arnott and Helene Desmettre.
