Tomas Rodriguez : the making of fashion client REVIEW's collection shoot in Hamburg, as well as kids in the '50s - a free photo and film production here on GoSee

Photographer and director Tomas Rodriguez completed the second round of his commission for fashion client REVIEW. In addition to the previously released image film in spring, Tomas filmed the ‘making-of’ the second shoot with photographer Steffen Hofemann in Hamburg.

The day kicked off at a cosy pub on the Reeperbahn. The models, dressed in the REVIEW latest collection were styled between the sofa and bar stools, sipping coffee before the shoot.

The film also manages to capture the individual moments between poses during the shoot, when the models are at ease: laughing, pulling faces, having fun and enjoying the day…

It was an autumn day; the sun flooded the streets and harbour of Hamburg of in a soft, warm light, transforming the city into one huge set. The film invites the viewer to accompany the models through the city streets – roller-skating on cobbled streets, making music, dancing on the harbour walls…

The models provide us with the opportunity of sharing in their feelings of freedom and relaxation. And that is exactly what REVIEW stands for. The image film can currently be viewed in all stores and on the internet at www.review-fashion.de, as well as here on GoSee.

Back to the roots was Dortmund raised Tomas Rodriguez’ motto as he took off for the Ruhr Valley (GoSee reported). Here, he photographed and filmed children in a 1950s style.

To capture just the right feel to evoke past times, they met at an industrial site on a regular autumn day, the perfect backdrop for the shoot. The kids followed old, somewhat ramshackle train tracks, on their journey of discovery. Old, disused train tracks, large farmlands, perfect for a quick game of football, overgrown fields, which turn an ordinary stroll with a dolly pram into a great adventure.

Besides the photography, Tomas manned the film camera, directed, supervised the editing and the soundtrack – a true one-man band!
