Avant-garde reclining? The Knit Stools & Co by Claire-Anne O'Brien are art and product at the same time.

Is it art or made for sitting? Let’s assume it is a bit of both and that is just what designer Claire-Anne O’Brien thought too. Her exceptional abilities were developed with the support of the Royal College of Art and she brings textiles to life in all sorts of forms in her studio in East London. We are presenting some of her work here on GoSee.

Roughly interweaved, knit in an avant-garde fashion, covered, to look and marvel at and to sit on. Claire-Anne plays with techniques and measurements and moves beyond common conventions. Her stools, armchairs and sitting elements are art and product at the same time – a hallmark of good design.
