Jutta Fricke Illustrators : red dot award, ZEIT cover, sunny spots for BURDA VERLAG, career illustrations for HANDELSBLATT, bee study in NEW SCIENTIST, Grünbritt Willplasberger, portrait illustrations ...

Give credit where credit is due – the Butter advertising agency and illustrator Kordula RÖCKENHAUS. In late October 2012, almost parallel with the UPdate, the reddot awards ceremony was held in Berlin: the campaign for Düsseldorf Courage ‘if in doubt dial 110’ won a red dot in the Communication Design category.

Lisa ROCK created atmospheric illustrations for BURDA VERLAG of five wonderful holiday destinations for sun worshippers, explorers, sports enthusiasts and wellness seekers. Mauritius for sun worshippers, Vietnam for active holidays, Burma for explorers, Australia for sports enthusiasts and the Caribbean to refuel.

Illustrator Kathrin FRANK illustrated corporate publishing in the ‘Career’ supplement for HANDELSBLATT and corps.Services Düsseldorf. Her subject was career ladder deniers, modern career visions with team spirit and specialist knowledge vs. elbows out and power games. Kathrin even used a needle and thread for some of her work…

Illustrator Anja STIEHLER contributed to NEW SCIENTIST magazine. The fascinating cognitive ingenuity of busy bees has resulted in researchers redefining intelligence in an entirely new way. Bees were presented in various positions in a series of illustrations.

Illustrator Michael ZANDERS’ strength is in narrative portrait illustration. Several exhibitions have already taken place in Hamburg and Berlin of his portrait illustration posters.

Grünbritt Willplasberger : Tom COOL created an illustration titled ‘Berlin in permanent conversation’ for BERLINER MORGENPOST, which presents an array of German TV talk show hosts in hot discussion in the studio.

Thomas KUHLENBECK illustrated the cover of ZEIT for an article that argues ‘if you use faith in a political way it will create strife’. The result is a Michelangelo inspired image.

Another illustration by Thomas Kuhlenbeck in ZEIT, this time he illustrated an image for a piece on how ‘the Internet dictates politics’, which will hit a wall after the initial hype: the net lobby suffers defeat for the first time.

Anja STIEHLER visualised the world’s cheapest fitness studio (the home) for ACTIFE LIFE. Exercises in the bathroom, living room, dining room and bedroom, which are easy for everyone to do. So no excuses then.
