Izaio Models, Berlin : YOU LOOK Model 2009 - model contest for girls & boys and latest NEWS

Brazilian beau DANILO Martins – treated as the reincarnation of a young Elvis, is new at the Berlin-based model agency. At the tender age of 20 he has already starred in shows by all of the most important designers including Just Cavalli, Mc Queen, Love Moschino, Ermenegildo Zegna, Ann Demeulemeester, Calvin Klein. His campaigns for Fred Perry, Giordano, KOYO jeans, Cavalera are equally as impressive. DANILO has graced the cover of Mens Bazaar and Key magazine, and has featured in many a jolly editorial in Esquire, Oyster magazine, Prestige magazine, amongst others.

ANNA Martin was discovered in Berlin 6 months ago, she has heaps of potential and so it comes as no surprise that MICHALSKY booked her for his latest image catalogue, photographed by Anna Bonnet. Additional clients such as William Rast, Ralph Lauren, La Biosthetique and JBrand are equally as fond of her distinct look.

Back in Europe - JANA Z. the 17 year old has an unusual aura, which sets her apart from most models and has won over the likes of Fred Perry, Mitsukoshi, comme des garcons, Zechia, Marie Claire, ELLE and Numero. She will be based in Germany from January onwards.

Alexi Lubomirski photographed MARTINA Schwuch for WELLA Nomad Couture, the campaign was used worldwide, unfortunately the material has not yet been released.

New face ETIENNE Herrmann graces the cover of FELD magazine (photographer Per Zennström) and Sakho can be admired on the cover of JN`C, as photographed by Christoph Voy.

The YOU youth fair and IZAIO models will be holding the YOU LOOK 2009 model contest together again this year, same as last. The two winners of the YOU LOOK model contest win a modelling contract with IZAIO. Experienced bookers coach and accompany them on their way to the exciting and tough working fashion world.

The chosen duo will also be photographed by Robert Rathnow (*1985) in a fashion editorial for the 7TRENDS online shop. Robert has already worked for the likes of DEUTSCH VOGUE, ELLE, I LOVE MAG, LOEWE, SCHERERE & GONZALEZ, MICHALSKY and KOMODO. 7TRENDS  presents trends according to its “See the Look“ motto, with stars in outfits and info on this season’s must haves.

Last year’s two winners - MERLE Roehl and MAURICE Baiers – posed for a fashion special with photographer Ulrich Hartmann (GoSee reported). MERLE Roehl’s start was documented by a PRO 7 TV team for several weeks.

Model hopefuls that wish to apply should meet the following requirements: girls between 14 and 21 years of age, at least 1.73 and up to 1.82 metres in height, with an attractive, sporty look. Boys between 15 and 23 years of age, at least 1.83 and up to 1.92 metres tall, with an equally as attractive and sporty look.

Online application: send at least three strong, recent photos (here is some advice on the photos) in JPG format, max 500 KB, as a portrait, full body shot, and profile along with the following: name, height, age, measurements (bust, waist, hips), size and telephone number/email address in an email to youlook@izaio.de. Applications will only be accepted that are emailed directly to IZAIO (no applications through social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace etc). Please note: underage applicants require a permission statement from their parents. Online application closes on 27.09.2009.

Direct competition entry at the YOU fair: hopefuls can also try their luck with the IZAIO agency model scouts at the IZAIO stall in Hall 1.2, from 12 pm to 6pm on 9 and 10 October. It is important that the applicants meet the wanted requirements and bring along recent photos.

Show finale: 10 female and 10 male candidates are selected. These 20 finalists are given an invitation to the YOU LOOK show finale. They are prepared for the event in a workshop with professional stylists and hair and make-up artists from the YAB Acadamy, as well as an international choreographer.

After the show the judges will pick the three winners of the second YOU LOOK model contest. The panel includes Daniel Barkowski of the YOU youth fair, IZAIO models agency boss Cornelia Bartsch, Sebastian Sieglerschmidt of the 7trends online shop, Claudia Seitzinger of the YAB Acadmey and actors Maja Manero and Sebastian König.
