Andreas Burz : a photographic tour behind the scenes of the Linden Museum in Stuttgart, selected photographer at the UPdate 10

Andreas Burz came up with the magical idea of revealing what goes on behind the scenes in between exhibitions at his local museums in Stuttgart. He reveals the mysteries of the spaces usually hidden away from curious visitors’ eyes.

His lens focuses on: archives, store rooms, conservation workshops, staff from the research and admin departments, exhibition spaces in extreme lighting situations, exhibits taken out of their usual settings.

The attached images stem from his first series for the current Linden Museum project. The variety of collections and possible motifs is never-ending.

The photographs were realised with the kind support of Director Prof. Dr. Inès de Castro and Deputy Direcotr Dr. Doris Kurella.
