Anja Wiroth : TOTAL summer specials and summer showers with McCAFÉ, BACARDI brings people together, top athletes for ORTHOMOL, paragliding for O2, new illustration entry Julian RENTZSCH

Summer is finally here, so let’s go down to the beach, that is, to the beach hall, where Ina SCHOOF realised the ad motifs for the current TOTAL summer. As usual, the production was accompanied by the KNSK agency.

Laidback with a hint of irony, McDonald’s is concerned with the indecisive weather. What better way to make do with a sudden spell of summer rain than getting closer to your loved one while drinking a steaming hot coffee? INA Schoof photographed the Mc CAFÉ summer campaign for TBWA Berlin.

Diana SCHEUNEMANN and the Weigertpirouzwolf agency flew to Hamburg to shoot the BACARDI TOGETHER campaign, where she photographed tweens in her usual laid-back and exuberant style, all of which prefer ‘dates to updates’.

The large-scale and globally developed campaign sporting slogans such as ‘There is no app for real friends’ was adapted for Germany by Weigertpirouzwolf. BACARDI tries to bring people back together – away from television, the Internet, the social networks. Even the pressure of being successful at work prevents people from spending time with friends in real life.

Olaf HEINE made sure that the ORTHOMOL athletic range campaign shoot featured energetic athletes. The testimonials in front of his camera were Germany’s most successful long distance runner Sabrina Mockenhaupt, Toll Schramm, German Champion in long distance triathlon and professional swimmer Christian Reichert.

These days it is easy to get online while in the countryside, all you need is the appropriate O2 LTE package. Manuel ARCHAIN and his team travelled to the outskirts of Berlin to visualise this. GoSee member PX 1 made sure that the paragliders and packages stayed on course with CGI and retouch.

Whenever wonderful curls turn into flowing waves, you can be sure that Tan KADAM’s fingers have had some say in it. His most recent work is a collaboration with hair & make-up artist Manuela KOPP c/o NINA KLEIN, who ensured model Uta c/o SEEDS MANAGEMENT’s hair looked its best.

Julian RENTZSCH is a new AW Illustrator entry. He works as an illustrator and designer in Hamburg and creates inspired motifs for clients such as BMW, Financial Times, Gruner + Jahr, Mercedes Benz, Jung Von Matt and Volkswagen.
