Burkhard Henrichs : colourful editorials with upcoming designers STEFANIA MORLAND and DAVID WEST in Cape Town

Burkhard Henrichs, fashion photographer and long time expert on South Africa returned from his most recent Cape Town production armed with three different editorials.

He produced the highly saturated and atmospheric ‘Africa Africa’ series in cooperation with South African designer and shooting star STEFANIA MORLAND within a dried up salt lake. Model of the moment Gaye Mc Donald, Benneton’s new face from New York, stood in front of the camera. Nico was responsible for the styling and Lucyanne Botham took care of the hairstyling on location.

He also produced the ‘Beach Nerd’ series, using collection pieces by designer DAVID WEST, who is highly sought after in Cape Town. The focal points of the production were a photographic vintage look, pastel colours and distinctively static poses. Nico and Lucyanne supported him once again. The models were Marius, Ice and Anouk. Way Ahead Production produced all shoots and Bastian Busch carried out the post-production.

Burkhard’s third series of designer David West’s collection features intense colours and daring outfit combinations in the foreground and the famous Bokaap quarter in the background. The two young trend models Llunga and Shannon-Ann rounded off Burkhard’s ‘Color Blocking’ series.
