Creativepool : a handful of editorials for GRAZIA, as well as MADME FIGARO and BRIGITTE WOMAN
Margaretha OLSCHEWSKI photographed the "una festa folk" cover story in the Dolomites, for Italian edition GRAZIA. Nadja Galiazo, Fashion Editor at Grazia combined chunky knits and sportswear with luscious silks and fashionable furs.
Models Magdalena Plawucka and Bee saw it as a true adventure, it was their first time in the raw mountainous regions and they were exhausted by the end of the shoot. Barbara Ciccognani and Marco Braca were in charge of perfecting their hair and make-up. Maik Flöder assisted and Glamtouch provided the retouching skills.
Photographer Christoph GROTHGAR shot a natural look for the latest issue of MADAME FIGARO, he was lent a helping hand in Paris by the magazine’s fashion editor, Julie Gillet. Model Samantha Gradoville’s make-up was applied by Jolanta, whilst her hair was fixed by Martin Foss Calder. Pierre Mansiet provided the digital back-up and retoucher Chris Carr added the finishing touches.
This leads us onto Margaretha’ two additional cover stories for GRAZIA: the model on both covers is the lovely Philippa Bywater. Margaretha also shot a cover story for the BRIGITTE WOMAN Christmas special. The model was Belgian politician Katia della Faille.
Wiebke Bröcker, freelance fashion editor at Brigitte, was in charge of the red theme of the shoot. The hair and make-up was perfected by STEPHAN Schmied c/o BLOSSOM MANAGEMENT, assistance was supplied by Isa Jaus, the digital assistant was André Leonhard Schnödewind.
Margaretha Olschewski photographed 16 pages for Italian GRAZIA New Year’s issue. The CROCIERA D`INVERNO cover story was already photographed in the Dolomites in September, (see above), at heights of over 4000 metres. Temperatures had reached 30 degrees in Milan, where the journey began, three hours later the team were confronted by minus temperatures. Danish model MARIKKA c/o ANC MODEL MANAGEMENT was informed in time to pack snow boots, jumpers, a scarf and a hat.
On the day of the shoot, the spectacular mountain world presented its best side: blue sky, sun and the Dolomites skyline, framed by dramatic clouds. As usual, Nadia Galiazzo’s luggage was packed with designer pieces by Hermes, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Pucci, Dior, Versace, Fendi, La Perla and co.
