Savoir-vivre – stands for French lifestyle culture and an indulgent way of life, which revolves around eating and drinking. Taking your time is the norm in France, especially when a table is involved.
Klaus-Maria EINWANGER captured this essence of French culinary culture on his 10,000 km journey through France for Tanja Dusy’s new French cookery book: ‘Frankreich – die Küche, die wir lieben’, (France – the kitchen we love) published by GU VERLAG.
The charming Bavarian photographer relied on his list of French phrases to help him on his multiple gourmet travels in the country’s well-loved hotspots such as Paris, Cluny, Bretagne and Mont Saint Michel.
The food studio shots were photographed between trips in Germany’s Food Art Factory kitchen. Monika Schuster and Anka Köhler were in charge of the food styling, Alexandra Holzer managed the props for this ‘production fantastique’.
