Infidels : Honecker and Breschnew inspire MARIE CLAIRE South Africa, BMW MINI COOPER, ALLAN GRAY 'Legend Lennon' print campaign

Marvellous Marguerite! Fashion photographer Marguerite OELOFSE spent a few weeks in Berlin and GoSee is pleased to present the results of her inspirational trip. She took pictures at favourite Berlin locations such as the wall. However, her attention was also focused on the first and foremost of the famous ‘Bruderkuss’ paintings.

In 1990, a few months before the fall of the Berlin wall, Russian painter Dimitri Vrubel painted the picture that would ahuttle around the word on the 1,316 meter long open air gallery East Side Gallery: The socialist ‘Bruderkuss’ (brother kiss) between SED general secretary Erich Honecker and Kreml-principal Leonid Breschnew. Due to restructuring works, the aghast painter had to repaint his “Bruderkuss” all over again a few weeks ago.

Congratulations to all Loeries winners ! The 32nd Loerie Awards took place on the first weekend in October at the Good Hope Centre in Cape Town. Infidels would especially like to thank Caroline MC CLELLAND for the ALLAN GRAY ‘Legend Lennon’ print campaign, which was awarded gold. Commissioned by the King James agency in Cape Town, Caroline photographed the campaign on set of the ‘Legend’ commercial. The spot was awarded the Grand Prix 2010 in the category of Advertising TV and Cinema Commercial.
