Klaus Arras : Curry Queen published by EDEL VERLAG - spice up your sausage life!

The subject may not be new, but rather unusual for a cookbook. Cologne –based photographer Klaus Arras produced his second cookbook for EDEL VERLAG Hamburg.

‘Curry Queen’ contains around 60 sausage recipes. The meaty protagonist is freed from its fast food reputation and saved from murky corners. Now, it is the main ingredient of many an appetising course.

The world of the sausage has many sides to it: next to essential classics such as 'Himmel un Äd’, curried sausage and sausage and kraut, ‘Curry Queen’ features fine and sophisticated recipes such as flambé bison buffalo sausage on onion comfit or white sausage carpaccio with parsley-mustard pesto.

In contrast to the award winning 'Tomato book', published by the same publishing house, Klaus Arras relies on other stylistic measures. Making much use of daylight, the cookbook wins us over through its down to earth imagery, which draws on the atmosphere of a bar lounge. Modern and rare props compliment the sausage and ensure that the tasty wurst remains the focal point of the arrangements.
