Lila Management : sharp looks for TREATS mag, COSMO UK Flowergirls, ETHEL VAUGHN S/S 2011 look book, 'Endor' photo project and exhibiting at the UPdate 11
Tony KELLY photographed a wonderfully over focused spread titled 'The Clinic' for TREATS magazine. Cosmetic surgery anyone?!
Flowergirls! Margaretha OLSCHEWSKI shot a colourful floral fashion editorial for COSMOPOLITAN UK, which gets us ready for sunny days. Sairey Stemp styled the looks, John Birchall fixed the hair and Robyn Nissen applied the make-up.
Designer Katrin Weber founded the ETHEL VAUGHN fashion label in summer 2010. Her collections are hand finished in the Auntie Pop Studio in Hamburg St.Pauli and sold in exclusive limited editions.
The concept: pure forms, body-con cuts, clear details and high quality materials provide feminine looks for women and masculine looks for men.
Models Daniel Bamdad and Tamara Jade were suitably cast for the Spring/Summer 2011 look book production with Felix KRÜGER, who shot them on location in a summery style with film lighting.
The women’s collection experiments with feminine fabrics, transparency and fresh colours, the menswear is all about raw denim, light canvas materials and thin jerseys. Mira Uszkureit styled the outfits and Maike Albeck was in charge of the hair and make-up.
Melbourne-based graphic designer Sam Chirnside was in charge of the creative direction, Metrosafari took care of the production and location, Damian Schaefers was in charge of the post-production. SELTMANN & SÖHNE took care of the look book print.
‘Will you go out with me?’ Felix photographed school kid couples for the latest issue of Süddeutschen Zeitung’s supplement JETZT magazine. Joanna Swistowski headed the art direction; the shoot took place in the Superstudio with photo assistant Daniela Pollehn.
Benjamin A. MONN’s latest photo project is titled ‘Endor’ and is named after the planet in Star Wars 2, which is covered in forests of space stations.
His photo series, which he developed in the work-in-progress process, is based on real functional constructions, which contrast their direct surroundings. The idea of planting something gains a new monumental dimension: humankind places a construction in a landscape that had previously remained untouched for thousands of years.
Benjamin’s continuous series wishes to provide a view of antique and modern engineering constructions in Europe, Asia and America, whose abstract monumental architecture dominates its surroundings. This time he travelled to the USA, where he photographed radar and wind complexes in New Mexico, Hawaii and California.
This year Lila Management will once again attend the UPdate in Frankfurt and is looking forward to welcoming visitors.
